MidValley 's Toilet

Haven't not been to Midvalley for a while.

Who knows I found 2 interesting stories to share on my visit to the Midvalley Megamall ladies toilet at the Ground floor. I am not sure whether they happened in the Man's toilet or not.

Story 1
Have you realised that the G Floor toilets have big gaps in between the doors that people outside can easily see you are "doing business" inside.

Ya, is "SEE" as the gap is about 1cm in width that you do not need to "PEEP" to see what is going on inside the toilet. I can actually see people passing by while I was inside the toilet and I felt very insecure. It is as if I am doing my "nature call business" in the public.

I am wondering, didn't anyone complain about this before? Or hasn't anyone realised about this before?

Story 2
This is nothing new.

I was queuing for the toilet paper. The lady in front of me took a very long time to take the toilet paper. Well, at a situation like this, we will "kei po" and see what is happening. I saw this aunty, taking her own sweet time, rolling up a lot of toilet papers and put inside her bag. I think she did not realise that I was standing behind her for quite some time.

By thinking not to embarrass her, I made noise with my footsteps pretending I was just about to reach the place to take toilet paper. After I took small piece of mine, she continued to take more.

Erm...I am speechless. >.<

Secret Garden
Elaine

Day 1& 2

Good show girl.”

1. Douglas

2. Tee

3. Jean

4. Gwen

Sweet Escape 2010 @ Bali

This is my 1st ever company trip and I am going to Bali....again~~~!

I have been to Bali last year in May with my buddies. For going to Bali this time, I will have about RM200++ deducted from my 2 months salary.

The reason why I decided to go again is because we are staying in Hard Rock!!
Yeeepie~~!

Big guitar and radio right in front of the main entrance of Hard Rock Hotel

Rock Shop of Hard Rock Hotel

To be in Bali for only THREE days is just not enough.
We only managed to do some shopping at Kuta area and went for a spa & massage session.

We do not even have the leisure time to swim in the beautiful Hard Rock Hotel swimming pool. >.<

Us @ Jimbaran. Gald to have them with me in the trip. They are just fun to be with.

Us @ Tanah Lot with our newly met colleague from Sri Hartamas campus.

Spa & Massage session in Halo Bali @ Kuta

Visiting Bali for the 2nd time, I felt totally different if compare with the 1st visit.

The 1st visit last year, I felt that Bali is just a wonder place. The food is sooooo good and the people there are so nice and kind.
But, for this time, I do not know why, every food that I put into my mouth, is a disappointment. It just does not taste the same as it used to be at all.

About the people, I had being chased out by them who are selling things along Kuta street. As their price are excessively high (RM100 for 2 super-low quality t-shirt), if you try to bargain, they would give you those unfriendly face and asked you to buy from some other places.

Maybe the tour guide that brought us visiting Bali last year had did a great job in promoting Bali by showing us all the beautiful side of Bali.

Interesting window display @ Kuta

Something interesting that I found in the flight while I was on my way to Malaysia.

Jacob's Walk of Life - 1 Malaysia Sihat

Just came back from Jacob's Walk of Life - 1 Malaysia Sihat which was held at FRIM Kepong.

We are tired not because of the walk, we are super sleepy as all of us woke up at 5.30am++ just to be there to join the walk. Unfortunately, we did not manage to join the walk as we were late for registration.

We reached FRIM at about 7am++. The registration closed at 7.30am.
We did not manage to find parkings and in the end even though we found one, we walked for a very long distance from the parking space to the registration counter as there were so many people who came for the walk. By the time we reach the registration counter, it was almost 8am.

We queued for registration but the organiser did not allow us to do so as we were late and the walk had already started. There were a lot of participants who were in the same situation like us.

We were a bit frustrated but there was nothing we can do. The others were very angry. I can foresee there will be a lot of complaints in the media (online & offline) on this Jacob's Walk after this.

I think the organiser should have pre-alert us on the parking issues and the estimated number of people who will be attending so that we can pre-plan our trip. We were not late, we were there early before 7.30am. We cannot foresee there were so many time wasted at the parking and walking to the registration counter.

In the end, we were able to take the T-shirts and the goodies bags but not joining the walk.
Therefore, we ended up wandering around the activity area where there were booths and Fitness First Warm-down demonstration on the stage.

Us and the goodies bags (Jacob's biscuit, Kiwi fruit, Anlene Milk and some vouchers)

Cute Jacob's costumes

MTV Shooting @ Port Dickson

Had a sweet escape to PD last weekend.
I was volunteering for 真善美MTV shooting with my 2 other frens.

All the songs in the 真善美 CD Album are very popular among us who organised Buddhist camps.
The songs come along with interesting sign-languages and dances. Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia (YBAM) has produced MTVs for all the songs and these two songs in PD were the last two.

Other than three of us, there was a group of youngsters from local universities.
We got along very well fortunately even though the age gap was about 8 years in average :)

It was certainly a fun experience. Regardless of the shooting, the beautiful scenery in Teluk Kemang and Tanjung Tuan was really worth going.

Hope that we can watch the MTV pretty soon~~

A scene during sunset that we need to eat watermelon.
We were holding the watermelon for about half an hour that we were not allow to eat until the Director say Yes and Action!

Happy Us

Beautiful scenery at Teluk Kemang, Port Dickson

Interesting scenery on Light House at Tanjung Tuan, Malacca

Spectacular View

Action!

Cannes 2010 Predictions Reel

Last night I have attended a very special event organised by Leo Burnett.
The event was held in Taylor's Lakeside Cmapus.

The event is to showcased Cannes Lions Predictions Reel - a compilation of 50 of the best advertising work from around the world including TV commercials, digital and ground activation programmes and various other communication mediums, which the network feels will most likely win a Cannes Lions award.

The interesting part of the event was everyone that was invited to the event was assumed the mantle of Creative Director for the night. The guests were invited to pass judgement on the works.
LB even printed a name card for each of their guests with the position of Creative Director on the card itself.

Tan Kien Eng, CEO of Leo Burnett, Arc Worldwide, Singapore, Malaysia.

Here are some interesting videos that were showed last night that I found worth sharing :

Expensive Nescafe Ice

How much do you think a Nescafe Ice cost at a normal kopitiam?
No air-cond, no expensive food. Just normal kopitiam that we have noodles or economy rice.

When the Indonesian waiter came to me and asking me RM2.40 for the Nescafe Ice, me and my colleague were stunned and cannot believe what we had heard. I looked at the waiter and asked for a few times to double confirm whether I have heard it wrongly.

At other normal kopitiam, a cup of hot Nescafe will cost about RM1.60. The highest price that they can go will just to RM1.80. This RM2.40 Nescafe Ice is just too much. Even the waiter agreed with me that they tauke are charging too much. It is way too expensive for a normal kopitiam like this.

Other than the Nescafe, this 新福成茶餐室 located at Mentari Sunway which is very near to Leisure Commerce Square also charged RM2.00++ for a can of soft drinks!

Big Con

Last month, I came across a website which asked me to put in my mobile number to win a 3Gs iPhone.

After keying in my number, I received sms asking me to confirm the submission by replying the email. I did the same for this and was innocently thinking that i might able to win an iPhone. With the TWO sms that were sent to me by the content provider, it charges me RM8 per sms which I am totally do no aware of.

When my phone bill came, I then realised that the TWO sms costs me RM8 per sms.
I was very shock on how expensive the sms are.
During that time, I comforted myself thinking it is okay, this big con just cost your RM16. Just take it as a lesson.

My April Phone Bill on the External Content Provider section

A few weeks after that, i received TWO sms again from this content provider by asking me to download free ringtones, images...etc. It stated RM8 in the each sms and I was thinking, Sh*t! This time really big con already. The company is still charging me without my permission.

So, I have decided to sms "Unsubscribe" to this 36181. Then it asked me to sms "STOP" to stop the service.
I did it as told. Then, it sms me back and asked me to type "STOP ALL" to stop all services. I did it as told too.
Finally, it sms me back by saying I have successfully unsubscribe.

I thought I will have to pay another RM16 for the TWO stupid sms that was sent to me.
When I have my May phone bill, I have found that this 36181 have already charged me RM48 for all those sms and the sms were just asking you to download ringtones and images from their website.

My May Phone Bill on the External Content Provider section

What kind of sms that need to charge RM8? They are not those mms with pictures or musics. They are just normal sms with just a few texts asking you to go their website to download stuff. Do they need to charge RM8??!!

I complaint to Maxis and also call to the number 03-20722617 to ask for refund.
It is not refundable as the terms & conditions were stated very clearly in the website which I have overlooked on it.

So, alright I admitted that i have been so careless that I did not read on the terms & conditions.
But, to me this company is not doing the right thing as they are waiting for people like me to fall into the trap:
  1. Firstly, the T&C were at the bottom that the subscribers might overlook on it. As a normal practise for those company who want to charge the users for the sms, the T&C normally will appear at a very prominent place to make sure that the subscribers are totally alert about the charges.
  2. Secondly, RM8 for a sms?! Do you still think that they are not trying to con people? I doubt it!
Here are the BIG CON company's info:

When I Google Search on the number 36181 or 03-20722617, I found out that this Big Con have been happening since 2006. Since it has been happening since 2006 and the company is being fined but why this company is still active and conning people around??!!
